The battery in the iPhone 13 mini is roughly 20% bigger than that of the iPhone SE 2022 while also having an OLED screen. Battery life, with OLED, is largely dependent on what's being displayed whereas LCD is more consistent. I believe the 13 mini has U1 if you're a heavy AppleTag user, that's the only thing that sticks out as being significant. The iPhone 12 has much better technology & will last 5 years easily. Don't get the iPhone 12 now in 2022. I've been using it since 2 years and the battery life has come down significantly. Performance and everything is great about it but the battery life and 60hz screen are a bit outdated according to me. The X, while still great in 2022, will lose software support from Apple in 1-2 years looking at the pattern of previous iPhones, so for longevity I would recommend the iPhone XR/higher. Honestly, if all you want is the newest version, the X would serve just fine, in my opinion. DO NOT BUY A XS.
The ones I’m looking at average about 90-95% battery health which I find fairly decent, considering I’m on a 76% battery health iPhone 8 Plus, at the worst case the XR’s are about 88% which to me still isn’t terrible, I feel like it would be worth it even with the battery replacement, because I’d be paying £330-£350 for an 11 which would need a replacement, which then in my opinion
